Privacy Policy
This website and the SimplePulse app work with as little data as possible. This page explains what data still arises.

2. The SimplePulse app
SimplePulse reads values from Apple Health and shows them on your iPhone. The app stores the last computed state in a file on the device, which is excluded from device backups. The app does not transmit these values: it has no server, no account, no analytics and no crash reporting of its own. Your Apple Health values do not reach us. Whether Apple Health itself syncs data through iCloud is your setting at Apple.
Testing through TestFlight
The app is still in testing and is distributed through TestFlight, a service of Apple Inc. According to Apple, TestFlight automatically collects crash logs and usage data and shares them with us as the provider of the app, along with device model, operating system, language and installation status, and any feedback you send. This information may be linked to your name and email address. We use it only to improve the app and do not pass it on to third parties. SimplePulse does not hand over any Apple Health values in this process. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in finding and fixing errors during testing. Apple's own processing is governed by Apple's information: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/test-flight/

These are: • Browser type and browser version • Operating system used • Referrer URL • Host name of the accessing computer • Time of server request • IP address This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the processing serves our legitimate interest in operating the website securely.
Cloudflare (delivery and protection of the website)
To deliver and protect this website, we use Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, as a service provider. Cloudflare acts as an upstream proxy and content delivery network: requests to this website pass through Cloudflare servers, which deliver the content and protect the website against attacks, such as distributed denial-of-service attacks (DDoS) and malicious automated access. In doing so, Cloudflare processes in particular your IP address, the requested address, the date and time of access, information about your browser and operating system, the referrer URL, and technical and security-related connection data. We do not use Cloudflare Web Analytics, Zaraz or advertising features. Technical analysis supports website delivery and protection. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely, reliably and quickly. Cloudflare processes the data only temporarily while delivering the website. According to Cloudflare, data in adaptive statistics and security datasets (including IP addresses) remain available for analysis for at least 31 days; Cloudflare publishes no fixed maximum retention period for these datasets. Cloudflare may also process data in the USA. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).
